Which 3D file formats do you use ?

The file formats which we can use are:

- neutral: STL, IGES, STEP

- native: PRO/E ou CATIA V4 ou V5.

For any other file type, please contact us.

If you only have 2D drawings, contact us for an appraisal. We can also provide 3D modelling, if necessary.

How do I make my choice from the technologies and materials available?

Our technical and commercial team is there to advise you.

We will recommend to you which process and material to use depending on your final need (aesthetic or fitting validation, functional tests), the number of parts to be produced, your constraints, etc.

What quality of file do you need? What does the quality of my prototypes depend on?

To get parts of the optimum quality, you must avoid the triangulation when generating your STL file, i.e. choose the smallest possible chord height.

In the event of too small a value in relation to the size of the part, the software tells you the minimum value.

What tolerances can be obtained with rapid prototyping equipment?

We consider that the tolerances that can be obtained through rapid prototyping are included in the reduced tolerance class of standard NFT 58-000. See the table below.
