We talk about Rapid Manufacturing or E-manufacturing when we build production parts directly without using tooling. For this we use Rapid Prototyping resources but under production conditions (traceability, repeatability, new materials).
They are many:
- no initial investment since there is no tooling
- the ability to customise each product or change the design without additional cost
- just-in-time production: delivery within a few days, no stock
We can take on parts injection runs of between 100 and 50,000 units on average, depending on the type of tooling, the geometry of the part and the material injected.
