Since early April, INITIAL is offering a new DMLS material: the stainless steel PH1.
The parts have good corrosion resistance, outstanding mechanical properties and high hardness.
Possible applications are numerous. This type of alloy is widely used in medical -parts can be sterilized- aerospace and other engineering applications.
This material is ideal for Direct Manufacturing, functional prototypes, small series products, individualised products or spare parts.
Parts made from EOS StainlessSteel PH1 can be machined, spark-eroded, welded, micro shot-peened, polished and coated if required.
Here is a reminder regarding DMLS. It is an additive process that makes it possible to build parts layerwise directly without any tool. Metallic powder is fused under the action of a laser ray.
