PROTOTYPE MOLDS ARE DIFFERENTIATED FROM SERIES MOULDS (INCLUDING PRE OR SMALL SERIES) BY THE QUANTITY OF PIECES REQUIRED OR THE DESIGN OF THE MOLD (MANUAL VS. AUTOMATIC).

 

YOUR NEEDS

You wish to validate a design or a process using parts in the end material. Quality material prototype tooling enables:

  • Testing and client approval / Production of a pre-series to test a market
  • A product review
  • Material testing
  • Validation / Optimization of injection process before completion of the series production mold

A control report can be provided upon request.

It is performed:

  • by optical digitalisation methods
  • or by three-dimensional control with our partner: Annecy Métrologie

METHODOLOGY

Using the 3D design of your part and via a project launch meeting, a tooling survey is carried out:

  • Steel die inserts in 110 kg pre-treated steel or aluminium fortal in standard carcasses.
  • Demoulded undercut blocks or spindles removed manually by the operator at the base of the press.
  • Generation of CAM electrode and tool paths.
  • Die machining.
  • Die polishing or specific graining.
  • Adjusting moulds and assembly.
  • Injection tests with sample-part presentations, with or without inspection reports.
