Art & Design

3D printing offers significant benefits for the art and design sector, such as producing complex, unique pieces, building prototypes, and restoring antiques or objets d'art, or producing collection pieces.
YOUR MOCK-UPS COME TO LIFE THROUGH 3D PRINTING

Applications for additive manufacturing in the architecture and design fields are rapidly proliferating and opening up a wide range of opportunities for creation.

Advances in technology in recent years have enabled architects and designers to adopt a new, swifter and more economical approach to building mock-ups or presenting projects, and even parts available to the general public.
3D printing has become a key step in the design and development process: projects can now be visually presented with an unrivalled level of detail, to better share innovations, speed up decisions, and shorten construction lead times.

3D printing enables architects, design offices or design studios to build complex 3D mock-ups directly using CAD data.

  • Possible to build multiple and complex variants of models
  • Speed of execution
  • Wide range of materials

MA VIE DE COURGETTE (My life as a courgette)

Initial is proud to have brought life to the film characters.
An uncontested success in 2017, the film by Claude Barras won two awards at the Césars.

“OÙ SONT NOS SOUVENIRS RANGÉS ?” (Where are our memories filed?)
A work by VINCENT FOURNIER

The cloud was produced by Initial using a 3D printing process known as powder sintering with a highly realistic rendering of details and relief.
It levitates thanks to an electromagnetic field system, the technical workings of which are hidden both in the cloud and in the base.

We use our high-precision 3D scanners to capture the geometry of your objects and to transform them into 3D files.

  • Retain the “memory” of a form.
  • Protect your assets.
  • Create a data bank.
  • Reprint old parts.
  • Duplicate to produce models at different scales for subsequent 3D printing.
